Product Description
Made with figs grown in a family orchard in the southern Riverina district of New South Wales, this chutney is fairly chunky, very flavoursome and has many different uses. See “Serving Suggestions” for plenty of ideas.
300g
Fresh figs, dried dates, dried cranberries, fresh ginger, onions, cayenne pepper, apple cider vinegar, stewed green apple juice (home-made), sugar and sea salt.
Great with poached or pan-fried chicken (as pictured), roasted fillet of pork or gourmet sausages with steamed vegetables and a hearty serve of potato mash. Try with some toasted crostini (or toasted mini wholemeal scones as a base – as pictured) spread with goat’s or cream cheese – use the chutney as the topping to complete one of the most delicious and easy appetisers or canapes. Best of all – a winner served with scrambled eggs on toasted sourdough!
