A very addictive petit four made from a recipe obtained by the maker (using her very limited Italian language skills) from a tiny bakery whilst walking in the Abruzzo Region of Italy in 2003. Long storage life …. so long as they are kept under lock and key!!

Minimum 14 biscotti.
Egg whites sugar sea salt vanilla extract lemon zest and crushed hazelnuts or almonds
Serve with coffee for a little “sweetie fix” or crunch a few over ice-cream or fruit salad on top of a meringue or perhaps as a garnish to finish off the “Tia Maria Parfait” – see under recipes on this website
