Product Description
This is a lovely tangy chutney using tamarind puree which adds sharpness to the sweet tomatoes whilst the celery seeds provide a wonderful base note. Tamarind, a fruit grown on a tropical tree, has been used for generations to add a fruity, sour taste to many styles of cuisine such as Middle Eastern, Indian and South East Asian cuisines. Fresh Roma tomatoes, onions, celery, long red chillies, fresh garlic, sultanas, tamarind puree, celery seed, demerara sugar, brown sugar, cider vinegar and sea salt
Use in the normal manner as a accompaniment to your many barbequed meats such as chicken, pork or lamb fillets or lamb backstraps. Also could be used as an accompaniment to some curries, couscous or quinoa salads. Alternatively use as a spread for a roast beef sandwich or baguette.
